12.040.13 Proverbs (s01e13) 720p.mp4 from GNPI Mbale
As we begin our study of chapter thirty, we realize a shift has taken place in the style of writing and structure. We leave the two line and four line proverbs and find instead a section of writing that resembles more closely the words found in Job or Ecclesiastes. There is slightly darker, less positive tone to chapter thirty than the rest of Proverbs. This may largely be because of the content and topic of this unit. Most of the chapter describes arrogant, foolish thought and action that receives God’s condemnation. A part of the darkness probably comes from the purpose of this chapter in the overall structure of the book. I will explain that later in the lesson.
